Production Diary #15

I have been researching on Digipaks and how they about, but I have also found out that now in 2013 that no one would buy them. As HMV had gone down, most people get their music offline and download it for free not even paying, so when artist release albums they are hardly making any money of it. Baring this in mind, MY TARGET AUDIENCE are not like this, as in where they care more about the music than anything. Going to a lot of shows and having a lot of music lovers on twitter as the same pop punk genre has showed me that they all love to buy CD's, Vinyl's but also cassette.
I want to try and combined all of these aspects for mine and make it as interesting as possible, maybe with every digipak put in a free on-line music download

Production Diary #14

Whilst reading about one of my favourite artist Blink-182, the tracking part is fairly simple, it's basically their past right up until the present day of what they have been doing. I could track my band, A Season Of Secrets, however they would have a very short description and not much to track as they haven't been around for that long or even noticed as much. However it interest me as to what their tracking would be like, I have no yet heard from then in a few weeks which is slightly worrying, however they are busy right now writing an album which does talk up a lot of time, I should be hearing from them soon in late September/ August for their album release show, which could be classed as one of the major tracking events in their timeline.

Production Diary #13

Looking at past students work, I have seen the high level of expectants which I have to maintain. The three videos I liked the best, are all different in each way. My favourite of them all would have to be the Fray, closely followed by the XX, as it's uniqueness which I have not yet seen in other videos.
All are original and differ from the actual one made. The XX don't actually make music videos, but to see one done, actually fitted it perfectly, each shot, the choice of colour and no colour was perfect. It suited the song and followed a close narrative also.
This has give me some ideas as to what I can add to mine, for example with the editing and blanking out scenes, I could also maybe change the colour of my footage when it switches onto the bands life opposed to the live shots.
